The membership of Whatcom Women in Business consists of women in leadership roles, either as business owners or employees in management or executive positions. Members are eligible to vote so long as dues are paid up-to-date.
Women of color and women belonging to other minority and/or marginalized groups are consistently overlooked and under recognized for their incredible accomplishments and contributions to our community.
WWIB strives to combat this inequity by encouraging women of color and minority women to apply for membership in our organization and for the WWIB educational scholarships, and strongly encourages the community to nominate these women for the WWIB awards programs.
Scholarships are available to waive or reduce the WWIB membership fee based on financial need.
General members must meet the following qualifications. Keep in mind we limit our members to no more than 20% of total membership in each business category.
