Who will be the 2019 Professional Woman of the Year? Do you know someone who strives for and exemplifies the 4 areas that we at Whatcom Women in Business honor... Leadership, Professionalism, Mentorship, and Community Involvement. If you do, please nominate them. Use the form below to submit your nomination for your 2019 Professional Woman of the Year.

Women of color and women belonging to other minority and/or marginalized groups are consistently overlooked and under recognized for their incredible
accomplishments and contributions to our community. WWIB strives to combat this inequity by encouraging women of color and minority women to apply for
membership in our organization and for the WWIB educational scholarships, and strongly encourages the community to nominate these women for the WWIB
awards programs.

Professional Women of the Year Award

The Professional Women of the Year (PWOTY) award is a unique recognition opportunity, honoring the incredible contributions of local women in business. Every year, we ask the public to submit nominations to highlight amazing women playing pivotal roles in their business and our community. These individuals develop future leaders, mentor our children and peers, and give back in ways that impact us all.

Through the collective effort of our community and members, dozens of women are nominated each year. We encourage you to submit a nomination to honor an influential woman in your life. Nominations are due May 13th by 5:00pm. All nominees will then be invited to submit a full application for consideration, due by May 31st. Finalists are selected by the Whatcom Women in Business Board of Directors and the winner is selected by the full WWIB Membership and unveiled at the Annual Professional Women Awards Gala and Auction in October.
